While trying to capture a scenic, tranquil feel in my art, I created this piece. Focused on a feeling of isolation and heavily inspired by Daniel Caesar's "Get You", I wanted to focus on how I could convey emotion through ways other than simply facial expression. The emphasis on dramatic lighting was a strategy I wanted to pay great attention to, both spot lighting and shadows. The resulting art is one of my personal favorites of my artist journey, as it captures a more "solitude" tone than a majority of my more typical work.
