Do You See Me? is a personal testament created to raise awareness of the importance of representation in animation. The book juxtaposes illustrative elements with traditional design practices.

Creating a dynamic cover was something I wanted to focus on immediately once the text was finalized, but the ideation process yielded many different results.

Crafting the layout of each image/text spread proved to be an interesting challenge, resolved through my own studies of layout design in published books.

I created a survey for New Paltz students asking different questions revolving around diversity and animation, and how this affects a child's viewpoint on themselves/others. These responses were trimmed and summarized to be shown alongside their corresponding characters within the final book.
