Soulfull diner is a concept project combining the 60s era of soul music with modern renditions of classic Southern dishes.
"Soulfull Diner" takes the iconic soul music that dominated American ears in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and accompanies it with delicious soul food primarily originating from the Southern United States. Customers can enjoy some fantastic food while simultaneously grooving to fantastic soulful music, creating a one of a kind experience combining gospel, rhythm and blues, and soul food enjoyable for the whole family.
The ideation process was extensive, primarily with color palettes and ideation. I had several pages of sketches for logo ideation alone, but eventually concluded with the "Afro" logo that I freehanded on Procreate. I experimented with different font choices but eventually freehanded my own calligraphy and refined it Adobe Illustrator. The color palette was also an interesting challenge, but I eventually went with different color combos from soul music album covers.
